Cover: Aerial photograph during mid-March of a winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) field that has been grazed by Canada geese (Branta canadensis). Green rectangles are exclosures not grazed by geese. Wheat cover around the exclosures was substantially reduced by goose grazing. Methods, including photography, global positioning systems, geographical information systems, and precision farming technologies, are being combined to quantify grazing impacts on yields. Grain yield reductions for this part of the field ranged from 18 to 24%. Most geese return north around mid-April.
