About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Soybean aphid (Aphis glycines Matsumura) adults and nymphs perched on the stem and developing pods of a soybean plant. The pale green insect adults are about 1.5 mm long. Since first detected in 2000, the soybean aphid has increased its geographic range and is now considered to be a major pest of soybeans in the United States. Research reported in this issue of Agronomy Journal investigates soybean aphid population effects on crop yield and quality. Such information provides a basis for the development of integrated pest management systems for this invasive pest. Photo credit: Michael Catangui. See Beckendorf et al. (237–246).
