Fig. 3. Forage mineral concentrations (K = mg kg^–1 ÷ 10) in response to low, medium, or high tree density in Appalachian silvopastures harvested in May, June, and July in 2002 and 2003. Calcium and P concentrations increased (P < 0.05) with density in 2002. Concentrations of all minerals increased (P < 0.05) with density over the 2003 season.
