Synopsis: Yields of Pfister 653W (2-eared) and Tenn. 90 (1-eared) hybrids were significantly, lower the 73% stand level than the 100% check. The yields at this level were 85 and 86% of the full-stand checks. With a significant increase in ear size, plants of the 2-eared hybrid had a greater increase in yield than plants of the 1-eared hybrid as space per plant increased.
