Using Published Soil Surveys in Teaching Soil Classification and Mapping1

Synopsis: Recently published soil surveys may be used effectively as laboratory workbooks to demonstrate principles in soil genesis, classification, and survey. These surveys also provide examples which may be used to explain the interpretation of soil surveys for a number of uses.
