Induction of Male Sterility in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L. Emend. Lam.) with Potassium Gibberellate and Other Plant Growth Regulators1

Synopsis: Potassium gibberellate induced a usable degree of male sterility in nonvernalized Wong barley in the greenhouse. Under field conditions, induced male sterility in vernalized winter barley and spring barley was not great enough to be of practical interest in a crossing program.
