Effects of Fertilizers on the Growth of Grass and Its Use by Deer in the Black Hills of South Dakota1

Synopsis: The application of N fertilizer to grass resulted in an increase in yield and in the percentage of N, P, Ca, and K. Lime additions increased uptake of Ca and N. Deer preferred grass higher in nutritional value.
