Soil Salinity Effects on the Chemical Composition of the Oil and the Oil Content of Safflower Seed1

D. M. Yermanos, L. E. Francois and L. Bernstein2

Synopsis: Soil salinity depressed oil content, seed weight, protein content, and the seed contribution to total yield of the tertiary heads. It increased percent hull content of the seed but did not affect the fatty acid composition of the oil.
