The Mowing of Turfgrass. I. The Effect of Season, Interval, and Height of Mowing on the Growth of Seaside Bentgrass Turf1

Synopsis: Regrowth of mowed turf consists of two phases, elongation of cut leaves and production of new leaves. "Seaside" bentgrass produced more mean growth as clippings with longer intervals between mowings, at shorter mowing height, and during the spring.
