Cold Resistance in Three Varieties of Winter Wheat as Related to Nitrogen Fractions and Total Sugar1

A. C. Zech and A. W. Pauli2

The degree of association varied between plant parts and among varieties. Soluble protein nitrogen seemed to be more closely related to cold hardiness than did total sugar.
