Toxic and Nutritional Effects of Organic Compounds on Ladino Clover Seedlings1

D. G. Routley and J. T. Sullivan2

Synopsis: Amino acids and nucleic acid compounds were with few exceptions nontoxic to Ladino clover seedlings and served as sources of nitrogen to the seedlings. Many compounds, including alkaloids, were toxic and did not serve as sources of nitrogen.
