The Influence of Nutrient Balance on Yield and Lodging of Texas Hybrid Corn No. 28

Synopsis: Soil nutrient balance had to be maintained along with at least 10,000 plants per acre to obtain good corn yields. Yield was shown to be a function of plant lodging, which was increased by nitrogen fertilization and decreased by potassium.
