Synopsis: Epistatic gene action was found to be involved in determining yield, ear height, and kernel row number in corn. However, significant epistasis x year interactions were found in some cases. The epistatic deviations in some cases, therefore, may be similar to or a part of the genotype-environment interactions normally encountered. The method employed proved relatively ineffective in detecting epistasis.
