Radiation-Induced Mutations for Stem Rust Resistance in Oats1

Synopsis: Resistant variants observed in earlier experiments were found to result from field hybridization. New experiments yielded variants at low frequency in one instance but none in another. One mutant showed a previously unknown temperature-sensitive response for resistance to race 7A of Puccinia grammis avenae.
