Synopsis: Aberrants produced by Merion Kentucky bluegrass averaged from 2.8 to 4.2% in 2 generations of progeny tests. Aberrancy from plural seedlings averaged 12.3% from the less than 2% polyembryos produced. Only 19% of the aberrants were found to be plus or equal. Second-generation progeny tests are necessary and valuable for verification of first-generation classifications and obtaining information on advanced-generation performance.
