Synopsis: In Yolo loam and Hanford sandy loam, peach seedlings, onions, carrots, radishes, vetch, and alfalfa tolerated exchangeable K levels equal to 22% or more of exchange capacity. Thirty-six percent K reduced growth or caused leaf injury of all species except vetch and alfalfa. Peach seedlings were relatively sensitive and vetch relatively tolerant to high exchangeable Na. About 47% leaf R and trace percentages of Na reduced peach seedling growth.
