Relation of Fertilizer Placement to Nutrient Uptake and Crop Yield: II. Effects of Row Potassium, Potassium Soil-Level, and Precipitation1

Synopsis: Both potassium soil-level and row potassium treatments were about equally effective in supplying potassium for a corn-soybean-wheat-hay rotation. Relative increases in corn and soybean yields due to potassium fertilization were inversely correlated with the amount of rainfall which occurred during the growing season.
