Synopsis: Tests for randomness of pollination for 13 characters showed only 1 case out of the 13 with significant differences due to replication (i.e. location) in the polycross or parental field.
Based on data collected by Ives in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science. Acknowledgement is given to David H. Timothy for designing the experiment, establishing the progeny test and collecting a part of the data. Edgar V. Christensen and Roy D. Wilcoxon of the Department of Plant Pathology and Botany cooperated in the identification of diseases. Charles E. Gates, Station Statistician, assisted with machine computation of the data.
