Yield Components in Oats. II. The Effect of Nitrogen Fertilization1

Synopsis: Yield increases of 50 to 65% were due to nitrogen stimulation of more heads per plant and more seeds per head. Marion oats showed increases in both these characters, Clintland an increase in seeds per head, but Bond did not increase in any yield component.
