N and P Composition and Yield of Corn as Affected by Fertilization1

G. A. Reichman, D. L. Grunes, C. W. Carlson and J. Alessi2

Synopsis: Corn yield and N and P percentages were increased by fertilization with N at rates up to 80 pounds per acre together with P at 22 pounds per acre. The yields were highly correlated with the N percentages in the corn leaves. Critical N levels were calculated from the data.
