Sypnosis: In 433 phosphorus rate and source experiments in 7 Southeastern states, the distributions of C.V. for corn, cotton, legume-grass hay and small grain were similar. C.V. was negatively correlated with yield levels for all crops. Standard errors per plot were positively correlated with yield for corn and alfalfa but not significantly for cotton and wheat. There were no consistent interactions between phosphorus sources and rates.
